SDM Polytechnic College, Ujire, has achieved a remarkable feat by securing second place in both the Electronics and Communication Engineering and Mechanical Engineering categories at the State-Level Polytechnic Student Convention held at Karnataka Government Polytechnic, Mangalore. Mechanical Engineering: The Mechanical Engineering department showcased a multi-purpose agri-trolley designed to enhance modern agricultural practices. This innovative trolley was constructed using spare parts from bikes and Omni vehicles, demonstrating the students’ creativity and resourcefulness. The project team consisted of Sumant S Kote, Manvith, A Ameen Ahmed, Chethan M, Gururaj K, and Vinay B P.
Electronics and Communication Engineering: The Electronics and Communication Engineering department presented a project titled "M-CAM (Smart Security Camera)," which secured second place in its category. Abhishek Prashant and Ravishankar Patil were the team members behind this innovative project. The college principal, Santosh, manager Chandranath Jain, department heads, and staff extended their congratulations to the winning teams for their outstanding achievements.
