About
Civil Engineering
Civil Engineering is one of the oldest Engineering professions. Role of Civil Engineer is vital in numerous fields like planning, designing, and overseeing construction of buildings, structures, and facilities, such as roads, railroads, airports, bridges, etc. Department of Civil Engineering was established in the year 2014 with the inception of SDMP, UJIRE. The Department is offering Diploma in Civil Engineering with an intake of 60 and Recognized by AICTE, New Delhi and Affiliated by DTE Bangalore.
Department has got an experienced and highly dedicated faculty members. A career after Civil Engineering is highly rewarding in terms of Government job opportunities are many for the Civil Engineers. Specialization (Masters) in any fields of Civil Engineering has got a wide scope in National and International level. Scope of Civil Engineers recruitment at reputed companies is very high. Also as an entrepreneur young Civil Engineers can design and build the safe, stable and economical structures. This ultimately helps in the national and economic development of the country.

LABORATORIES
Surveying, a means of making relatively large-scale, accurate measurements of the Earth’s surfaces.
In Basic surveying, chain and tape are used for making linear measurements while compass and ordinary theodolites are used for making angular measurements.
Modern surveying methods often incorporate some form of digital device and GPS systems to allow us to calculate a range of measurements including angles, levels and distances.
It provides facilities to conduct all quality control tests on cement aggregates and concrete (Fresh and hardened). Students learn the standard procedure to test the quality of building materials in line with the corresponding IS codes.
2D CAD is two-dimensional computer-aided design, 3D CAD is three-dimensional computer-aided design. 2. Expression. 2D is to display length and height information on a flat surface without depth. Although 3D is defined as 3D drawings or models, they describe objects in terms of height, width, and depth.
Site Lab means own lab established by contractor at the work site. This lab shall have all the facilities including T&P.
Detailed structural design involves the investigation of the stability, strength and rigidity of the structure to be built, based upon the physical requirements of the building and an understanding of the structural performance the materials and geometries used.
Estimation is a process of determining the cost of a project. Valuation is the process of determining the value of an asset or property.
