Second-year Computer Science students of SDM Polytechnic, Ujire participated in an industrial visit to the Karnataka Milk Federation (KMF), Mangalore and Pilikula Nisargadhama on 13 March 2026. The main objective of the visit was to provide students with practical exposure to industrial processes and to create awareness about environmental conservation.
During the visit to Karnataka Milk Federation, students observed various stages of milk processing such as quality testing, pasteurization, packaging, and distribution. The officials explained how modern technology and systematic procedures help maintain hygiene, efficiency, and quality in dairy production.
Later, the students visited Pilikula Nisargadhama, where they gained knowledge about biodiversity, wildlife conservation, and sustainable environmental practices. The visit helped students understand the importance of protecting natural resources and maintaining ecological balance.
The industrial visit was coordinated by staff members Mrs. Anushree and Mr. Tribhuvan. Overall, the visit was highly informative and provided students with an opportunity to connect their classroom learning with real-world applications, making it a valuable educational experience.
