SDM Educational Institutions Celebrate 76th Republic Day with Creative Tableau and Cultural Presentations

The students of the SDM Educational Society’s schools and colleges in Ujire celebrated the 76th Republic Day with innovative expressions, showcasing the constitutional excellence of India, its diverse cultural heritage, milestones of scientific and technological achievements, and significant contributions in various fields through creative artistic presentations and tableau displays.

At the Shri D. Ratnavarma Heggade Stadium in Ujire, Colonel Nitin Bhide (Retd.) hoisted the national flag in the presence of students, teachers, and non-teaching staff of local SDM schools and colleges. Dr. Sateeshchandra S., Secretary of the SDM Educational Society, also graced the occasion.

The subsequent tableau presentations highlighted:

  • Significant strides made by women in various fields,
  • The exemplary efforts of the Rathnamanasa Residential School in Ujire,
  • The uniqueness of Halakki culture,
  • The principles of freedom, fraternity, equality, and justice blended with a spirit of service,
  • The distinctive characteristics of coastal culture,
  • Folk traditions such as Veeragase dance and Karnataka’s rural heritage,
  • Key milestones in the advancement of science and technology,
  • And the emphasis on the core philosophy of naturopathy.
In the competitions, SDM Polytechnic students won first prize, while SDM Kannada Medium High School students secured the second prize.
