The cultural committee & NSS of SDM Polytechnic organized an Onam celebration and traditional day on 11th september 2024 to mark the Onam festival. Principal Santosh inaugurated the event by lighting the lamp. Sampath, a lecturer from the Electronics and Communication Engineering department, spoke about the significance of Onam. Students enthusiastically participated by performing traditional Onam dances.
Additionally, the cultural association organized a Pokalam competition and a ramp walk where students showcased traditional attire. This was an exciting and joyful celebration that brought everyone together to honor the cultural heritage of Onam.
