On March 5, 2026, the National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit of SDM Polytechnic, Ujire, in association with the Youth Red Cross Unit, organized a visit to Yashovana, Ujire. The resource person for the program was Mrs. Manjushree, Assistant Professor in the Department of Botany at SDM College, Ujire. She introduced the students to different varieties of plants and explained the importance of medicinal plants and trees along with their benefits. The visit provided students with valuable knowledge about plant diversity and medicinal properties. The program was attended by Mr. Prakash, NSS Programme Officer, Mr. Avaneesh P, Youth Red Cross Programme Officer, Mr. Lohith, NSS Assistant Programme Officer, along with first-year students who actively participated in the visit.
