The final-year Mechanical Engineering students visited KMF (Karnataka Milk Federation), Mangaluru, and Kalbavi Consumer Foods Private Limited, Mangaluru, on 13th October 2026, as part of their industrial exposure programme.
The visit provided students with valuable insights into industrial operations, manufacturing processes, production techniques, quality control practices, and the practical applications of mechanical engineering in the food processing industry. It helped bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge acquired in the classroom and its practical implementation in real-world industrial environments.
The industrial visit also enabled students to understand the importance of machinery, equipment, maintenance, and efficient production management in food processing industries. The experience enhanced their technical knowledge and provided valuable exposure to industrial working practices.
The event was coordinated by staff members Mr. Shivaraj P., Mr. Sai Charan, and Mr. Ashok, whose efforts ensured the successful organization of the visit.
