The annual function of Ujire SDM Polytechnic College was held in the college seminar hall. D. Harshendra Kumar, Secretary of SDM Educational Institutions, speaking on the occasion, said that the annual function is a platform to recognize the achievements of students. He urged students to study with discipline and restraint and move forward. He added that hard work and experiences are necessary to achieve higher goals and higher positions. Students should be aware of their parents’ situation and aspirations. The enthusiasm and joy of the staff contribute to the growth of the institution, he said.
Chief guest Jagadish Shekhar Nayak, CEO of Talentris Bengaluru, speaking on the occasion, said that if there is interest, determination, strength, and foresight when starting a business, success is certain. Every year, 1.2 crore students complete their studies in the country. Of these, only 4.17% are employable. This is a matter of regret, he said. Truth, gratitude, forgiveness, and contribution to society are the main pillars for achieving happiness in life, he said. SDM Polytechnic Principal Santosh presided over the college’s annual function, presenting the annual report. Dr. S. Satishchandra, Secretary of SDM Educational Institutions, was also in attendance. The event celebrated the achievements of exceptional students, including the inter-district kabaddi champions and those excelling in various academic and extracurricular pursuits.
The function featured welcoming remarks by Lecturer Praveen B.G. and a vote of thanks delivered by the Director of the Physical Education Department. Lecturer Sampath Kumar Jain served as the master of ceremonies.
