A technical webinar on “Advanced Trends in Automation” was organized for the final-year Mechanical Engineering students on August 2, 2025, at the Lecture Hall of SDM Polytechnic, Ujire. The session was conducted by Professor Vinay B. U., Assistant Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering, Sahyadri College of Engineering and Management, Mangaluru. The webinar focused on the latest developments in automation, including Industry 4.0, smart manufacturing, robotics, and the integration of AI and IoT in modern industrial systems. Professor Vinay shared practical insights and real-world applications, enhancing students’ understanding of current and future trends in mechanical automation. The event was effectively coordinated by Mr. Shivaraj P and Mr. Saicharan, Lecturers in the Mechanical Engineering Department.
