NSS & Youth Red Cross Organize Dental Health Camp Benefiting 180 Participants

Aug. 8 –A free dental check-up and treatment camp was organized jointly by the National Service Scheme (NSS) and Youth Red Cross Unit of Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara Polytechnic, Ujire, in association with KVG Dental College & Hospital, Sullia, Indian Dental Association (IDA) Puttur, and Rotary Club, Beltangady.

The programme was inaugurated by Mr. Prakash Prabhu, President of Rotary Club, Beltangady. Speaking as the chief guest, Dr. Dayakar, Head of the Department of Prosthodontics, KVG Dental College & Hospital, said that teeth not only enhance our facial appearance and help us chew food, but also play a very important role in our overall life. He stressed the importance of adopting healthy dietary habits for maintaining dental and gum health.

Dr. Asha Raghavendra, President of the Indian Dental Association, conveyed her best wishes for the programme.The event was presided over by the Principal of the college, Mr. Santosh. Youth Red Cross Programme Officer Mr. Avneesh P. and NSS Programme Officer Mr. Prakash were present on the occasion.

Around 180 people, including students and staff of the college, benefited from the camp.
