As part of the Student Induction Programme 2026, the fourth day’s session on “Personality Development” was organized at the Workshop Seminar Hall of SDM Polytechnic, Ujire. The programme was designed to motivate newly admitted students to develop self-confidence, effective communication skills, leadership qualities, and a positive outlook towards their academic and personal lives.
The session was coordinated by Mr. Praveena, Lecturer, Department of Civil Engineering, along with staff coordinators Ms. Kavyashree, Ms. Malathi B., and Mr. Chethan. The resource person, Mr. Sampath Kumar, Lecturer, Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, delivered an engaging and interactive session on the importance of personality development in shaping a successful career.
During the programme, Mr. Sampath Kumar emphasized the significance of self-awareness, positive thinking, goal setting, effective communication, time management, teamwork, professional ethics, and continuous learning. Through practical examples and interactive activities, he encouraged students to develop a growth mindset, overcome challenges with confidence, and make the most of the opportunities available during their years at the institution.
The session received an enthusiastic response from the students, who actively participated in the discussions and activities. All teaching and non-teaching staff members were present, making the programme a meaningful and inspiring experience for the newly admitted students.
