The Civil Engineering students of SDM Polytechnic have once again demonstrated their exceptional skills by securing the first prize at the inter-polytechnic project exhibition ‘Navathvam-2024,’ held at SNM Polytechnic, Moodbidire, on September 13. Their innovative project, ‘Recycled Paper Plywood,’ clinched the top spot in the Civil Engineering category. This project, initially conceived by alumni students, was further developed and refined by the current batch of final-year Civil Engineering students under the guidance of their faculty. The team representing the project included Sandesh C T, Rehan, Abhilash, and Harsha.
In addition, another remarkable project titled ‘Recycled Waste Plastic Roofing Tiles & Interlocks’ was showcased by the talented team of Pramith, Anil, Madhukar, Musthafa, Abhishek, Santhosh G M, Ritin, and Shravan. Yajnesh, an instructor from the Civil Engineering department, accompanied the students throughout the exhibition, providing invaluable support and guidance.
