The National Service Scheme (NSS) Annual Special Camp 2026–27 of SDM Polytechnic, Ujire, was inaugurated on 3 October 2026 at Government Upgraded High School, Odilnala, Belthangady Taluk. The seven-day camp, scheduled from 3 October to 9 October 2026, is organized around the inspiring theme “Youth for a Clean India, Youth for a Developed India.”

The camp aims to promote social responsibility, environmental awareness, leadership, teamwork, community engagement, and the spirit of voluntary service among students.

The inaugural programme was presided over by Mr. Santhosh, Principal, SDM Polytechnic, Ujire, and inaugurated by Mr. Harish Poonja, MLA, Belthangady.

The programme was graced by the presence of the following dignitaries and academic representatives:

The dignitaries emphasized the importance of community service, discipline, social awareness, environmental protection, and active citizenship in shaping responsible citizens.

Throughout the seven-day camp, NSS volunteers will participate in various community-oriented activities, cleanliness drives, awareness programmes, social initiatives, and developmental activities aimed at understanding rural community needs and contributing to societal well-being.

The programme was coordinated by the college NSS volunteers and NSS committee members, whose dedicated efforts contributed to the successful organization of the inaugural ceremony.

The camp marks a meaningful journey of service, learning, teamwork, and social transformation, reinforcing the commitment of NSS volunteers towards building a cleaner, healthier, and developed India.
