The closing ceremony of the Inter-District Men’s Kabaddi Tournament, hosted by Sri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara Polytechnic College, took place on October 1st at the Indraprastha Auditorium. Dr. S. Satishchandra, Secretary of SDM Educational Institutions, and advocate Shashikiran Jain from Beltangady were the chief guests, who presented awards to the winners. The event was presided over by Principal Santosh. Also in attendance on stage were Ramesh H., Secretary of the SDM Sports Club, Kabaddi coach Krishnananda Rao, College Manager Chandranath Jain, and Director of Physical Education Nitin.
The tournament saw the participation of 12 teams. SDM Polytechnic, Ujire, claimed the first-place trophy, while KVG Polytechnic, Sullia, took the second place. In the individual awards category, Akash from KVG Polytechnic, Sullia, was named the best raider, Jiyad from KVG Polytechnic, Sullia, the best defender, and Niranjan from SDM Polytechnic, Ujire, the best all-rounder. The event was anchored by Sampath Kumar Jain, a lecturer from the Electronics and Communication Department.
