A guest lecture on “Shift Registers and Its Applications in Computer Science” was organized for the first-year Computer Science and Engineering students of SDM Polytechnic, Ujire, on 17th September 2026. The session was delivered by Prof. Ramachandra, Assistant Professor, Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, SDMIT, Ujire.

The lecture aimed to provide students with a conceptual and practical understanding of shift registers, their working principles, and their applications in computer science and digital systems. The session highlighted how fundamental concepts of digital electronics serve as an important foundation for various areas of computer science, computer hardware, and digital technology.
