An informative awareness session on “Human Health, Community Health and Personal Hygiene” was organized as part of the student induction programme at SDM Polytechnic, Ujire. The session was delivered by Dr. Karthik R. Rao, Consultant, Emergency Department, SDM Hospital, Ujire, who highlighted the importance of maintaining good personal hygiene, adopting healthy lifestyle practices, and contributing to community health for overall well-being. He also emphasized preventive healthcare, disease prevention, sanitation, nutrition, and the role of individuals in creating a healthy society. The session provided valuable insights that encouraged students to develop responsible health habits from the beginning of their academic journey. The programme commenced with a warm welcome and effective compering by Mr. Avaneesh PLecturer, Electronics and communication engineering department , while the Principal addressed the gathering, emphasizing the significance of health awareness and hygiene in shaping disciplined, healthy, and responsible professionals. The session concluded with active participation from students and faculty members.
