The Annual Day was held at the workshop hall on April 11, 2026. The youth of today represent the true wealth and future of India. Emphasizing the need for holistic development, Sandeep S. P., HR Head of Pratt & Whitney India and former HR professional at Rolls-Royce India (Bengaluru division), stated that students must not confine themselves to a single discipline but should stay informed about ongoing advancements across various fields. He highlighted that diploma graduates will witness vast opportunities in the coming decades and must equip themselves with skills to face emerging challenges such as artificial intelligence.
He delivered this message while inaugurating the annual function at Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara (SDM) Polytechnic College, Ujire.
He further noted that, alongside academic learning, participation in co-curricular and practical activities plays a vital role in shaping students’ growth and enabling them to achieve greater heights. Developing curiosity and a questioning mindset at every stage fosters intellectual strength. Students should focus on building their personality and future by performing their responsibilities effectively, rather than being concerned about the positions they hold. He also emphasized that making the best use of available opportunities leads to valuable experiences and opens doors to further prospects.
On the occasion, he appreciated and congratulated students for their achievements in academics and sports.
