The YRC and NSS Units of SDM Polytechnic, Ujire, successfully organised a Voluntary Blood Donation Camp on 22 August 2026 at the Seminar Hall of SDM Polytechnic, Ujire. The programme was jointly organised in association with SDM Multispeciality Hospital, Ujire, Rotary Club, Belthangady, JCI Ujire City, Indian Red Cross Society, Belthangady, and Red Cross Blood Bank, Mangalore.
The camp aimed to create awareness about the importance of voluntary blood donation and encourage students, staff members, and members of the community to contribute towards saving precious lives. The programme received an encouraging response, with enthusiastic participation from donors who came forward to support this noble humanitarian cause.
The successful organisation of the camp reflected the spirit of social responsibility and service among the students and staff of SDM Polytechnic. The institution extends its sincere gratitude to all the collaborating organisations, medical teams, volunteers, donors, and everyone who contributed to making the event a success.
